Colbert Trashes Bush
You have to take about 20 minutes to watch this video. For some reason the White House Correspondents' Association let Stephen Colbert speak at their annual diinner. With his remarkable sarcasma and satire he completely dogs Bush. This guy has some serious testicular fortitude. Bush is sitting just a few feet away and he just nails him over and over again. The press people in the audience don't want to be seen laughing so most pretend to be disgusted as the cameras pan over them. It's fantastic stuff. Take a look.

Y'know, everyone seems to be talking about how badly Colbert trashed Bush, but Colbert just seemed to me to be... kinda rote. He seemed to be playing softball. Here he had the chance to say something important in the guise of comedy. I feel like he wasted his chance. In practice, he sucked up to the President, with a fairly weak and gentle form of parody. What's all the fuss about?
Boy I just saw it way differnt than that John. It seemed to me that his satirical sly approach had the most powerful effect.
I love your website. It has a lot of great pictures and is very informative.
